Punters must ‘keep eye contact while having conversations’ at Dublin’s first ever naturist-friendly B&B

The arrival of nudie mecca Pine Tree House comes as Ireland is in line to get its first official nudist-friendly beach in Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, Co Dublin

HERE is a peek at Dublin’s first ever naturist-friendly B&B — where guests can walk around in the nip if they choose but are told to “cover up” if they get too excited.

The Irish Naturist Association has told its members about the availability of the accommodation where rooms can be snapped up for as little as €55 a night.

This comes after we revealed back in March that Ireland is in line to get its first official nudist-friendly beach in Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, Co Dublin.

Nudie mecca, Pine Tree House, is described as “a period residence in the heart of Dublin 8 offering an oasis of tranquillity, where you can kick off your shoes”.

The owners say: “Run on the Airbnb model, Pine Tree House is more relaxed than typical guest accommodation and a place where you can let the world go by feeling comfortable to enjoy naturism throughout the house.”

The four-bed Victorian mid-terrace house is “clothing optional — which respects the choice of each individual guest, allowing you to be nude or not, depending on your preference”.

But guests are told they must follow “naturist etiquette” and accept the current law which states: “Public nudity is only deemed an offence when someone is intending to cause fear, distress or alarm, or engages in sexual activity.”

The B&B says any breach of their guidelines may lead to a booking cancellation with no refund.

According to the rules: “Pine Tree is a ‘clothing optional’ establishment.

"This means you can wear clothing or be naked as you prefer.

"However, lingerie is not considered appropriate attire nor is walking around in your underwear.”

Guests must “carry a towel with you anywhere you go” which must be “used under you wherever you decide to park yourself”.

Punters must “keep eye contact while having conversation with your naked counterparts” and “any sexual activity in a public setting is considered offensive.

"However, holding hands, a hug or simple kissing is fine.

"If you want to show extra affection with someone you love, we suggest you get to your room or wait till you’re back home to do so.”

It also gives men advice on “erections” saying: “Yes, they can happen — especially if you are new to nudism. Just cover it up with the towel.

“If you see someone with an obvious erection and is purposely drawing attention, let a host know.

“In most cases, the person will be kicked out and banned from coming back.”

A B&B spokesperson said: “Having visited many naturists camping sites and venues across Europe and the US, we host guests totally as a hobby and want to develop this market in a quiet and personal manner, focusing on a nice, clean, naturist-friendly space.”

He also told the Irish Sun that guests are typically couples aged over 30 from Europe who enjoy taking their clothes off after a day out sightseeing in the capital.
